Misleading Advertisements of Job Opportunities (Job Offers) in the Media

Know Your Rights:

Much hardship and difficulty are caused to job-seekers by placing misleading advertising in employment columns in the printed media and the Internet, and as a result of which, hundreds of job-seekers are scammed into pyramid schemes of some sort by these irresponsible companies and enterprises.

Thus, in country like Australia (and other developed countries), laws have been put in place to curb these irresponsible ads, hence, by placing a misleading advertisement is an offence against the Trade Practices Act and State Territory Fair Trading Acts [Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Ph: 92901800].

Note: Other misleading advertisements can also be lodged to the Consumer Commission or to the Local Police, depending on the severity of the offence.
